Toyota Motor has announced that it will suspend vehicle production at its Motomachi plant in Japan twice in July. Downtime of conveyors will last a total of 10 days - from 18 to 22 July and from 25 to 29 July.
Oddly enough, this time the reason is not in the short supply of components, but in an internal investigation related to finding out the causes of defects on some models. Due to shortcomings, the concern had to announce reviews.
Motomachi assembles the Noah and Voxy vans, the Mirai hydrogen car and the bZ4X crossover (the brand's first mass-produced electric car).
Due to the suspensions, underproduction at the Motomachi plant will amount to four thousand cars.
