Renault has released new photos of a crossover with a retro design inspired by the 1961 Renault 4 subcompact car. The new development was assigned the same historical index in the form of the number 4.
The darkened promo photos (teasers) show the car from the front and in profile. On the side, the proportions with a pronounced hood and a beveled rear part, as well as a trapezoidal window in the rear wing (it is illuminated by LEDs) are sent to the prototype. Full face of a new crossover with a 60-year-old hatchback is related by a solid horizontal composition of headlights and a radiator grille.

According to preliminary information, the revived Renault 4 is equipped with a purely electric power plant. The car in the status of a show car will be shown on October 17 at the Paris Motor Show, but then a production car may follow.
Recall that the original Renault 4 was produced in 1961-1994 - in total, more than 8 million copies were produced at ten factories around the world.
