Photos of a promising inexpensive electric car Yi Ezoom have appeared in the public domain - this model is directly related to the French Renault, although it will be produced only in China. The pictures leaked through the database of the Ministry of Industry of China.
The upcoming novelty was developed by the JMEV joint venture, its co-owners are Renault (50% share), the Chinese automaker JMC (37%) and the China Agricultural Development Construction Fund Corporation (13%).
Yi Ezoom was created from scratch, it has a sedan-style body, which is characterized by streamlined shapes and deliberately futuristic design. Pull-out exterior door handles are eye-catching, like those on expensive Teslas, Jaguars, Land Rovers or the new S-Class. You can also notice the panoramic glass roof. Length, width and height - 4675, 1835 and 1480 mm, respectively, wheelbase - 2750 mm. This is a mid-size model, comparable in external dimensions to the Skoda Octavia.
Yi Ezoom will be equipped with a 110 kW (150 hp) electric motor and a lithium-ion battery. Characteristics are not yet known.
The novelty should be presented within a few months, possibly in the spring of 2021.
