Renault is preparing two new crossovers - compact and mid-size, they will replace the Kadjar and Koleos models, respectively. The French company believes that both of these products have failed in the market, so it makes no sense to continue using their names further, writes L'Argus.
So, in France, at the end of 2020, less than nine thousand Renault Kadjars were sold - a result five times less than that of the main competitor, the Peugeot 3008 model, and half as much as that of the Nissan Qashqai platform. The successor to Kadjar is codenamed HHN and will be released in the summer of 2022.
The successor to the Koleos, codenamed DHN, will be the new flagship of the Renault range in Europe and will feature a seven-seat saloon. The car will simultaneously supplant both Koleos and Espace. The start of DHN production is scheduled for May 2023.
Under what commercial names HHN and DHN plan to market, it is not yet clear.
At the end of 2023, the Renault HCB electric crossover is also expected to replace the Scenic minivan.
