Renault has prepared the AIR4 concept, created in honor of the 60th anniversary of the legendary small car Renault 4L. The sample is a quadcopter with a body style body of the original 4L. He also recalls the plans of the French company to release an electric crossover 4ever by 2025.

Instead of wheels, the AIR4 uses four two-bladed propellers, one at each corner of the car. The body is in the middle. Doors are not provided: to get into the salon, you have to tilt the cab.

The body of the concept copter is almost entirely made of carbon fiber. The engines are powered by a 90,000 mAh lithium polymer battery. AIR4 is capable of horizontal speeds up to 26 m/s (94 km/h). The maximum flight altitude is 700 meters. The propellers create 95 kg of vertical thrust each, for a total of 380 kg.

The AIR4 was developed in collaboration with design firm The Arsenale and will be on display in Paris at the Renault showroom on the Champs Elysées.

The original Renault 4L was produced from 1961 to 1994. It has sold over eight million copies.
