Toyota Motor has suspended worldwide orders for full-size frame SUVs Land Cruiser 300 and Lexus LX since July 1. The company says it simply won't be able to complete them in a reasonable amount of time with the current pace of production, which is limited by the shortage of electronic components. The queue for the model in some trim levels is now four years.
Toyota will announce the date of the resumption of acceptance of orders separately.
Toyota Land Cruiser 300 and Lexus LX are produced only in Japan, at the plant in Aichi. However, Toyota has a plan to organize additional production of "300" - in China.
The range of Land Cruiser 300 / Lexus LX engines is made up of a 3.5-liter gasoline biturbo engine and a 3.3-liter turbodiesel. A 4.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol is also available for the LC300 in some markets.
