Lexus has announced an October 2022 end date for the CT compact hybrid hatchback. On the occasion of the model's imminent departure into history, the company introduced its farewell version for Japan, which was given the name Cherished Touring ("Treasure Tourism"). The final performance has a number of style features inside and out.
The CT200h Cherished Touring has a two-tone body paint scheme, two options are offered: 1) Sonic Titanium roof (light gray metallic), the rest of the body is Graphite Black (black metallic); 2) Sonic Titanium roof, the rest of the body - Sonic Quartz (white). Regardless of the color of the body, the radiator grille, the framing of the fog lamps and the rear reflectors are made not in black, but in silver.
Interior features include two-tone seat and door cards (black + dark cherry), as well as red stitching on the seat upholstery and front panel.
In the configuration of the special version, among other things, there is a rear window rain sensor, heating and electric folding side mirrors, heated steering wheel rim and seats.
Like the rest of the CT200h, the car is equipped with a hybrid power plant, composed of a 1.8-liter gasoline engine with 98 hp, an electric motor output of 60 kW (80.5 hp), a continuously variable variator and a nickel-metal hydride battery with a capacity of 1.3 kWh. Front drive.
CT200h Cherished Touring in the domestic market of Japan costs from 4,223,000 yen (it makes no sense to transfer to rubles due to the floating rate, in US dollars it is $36,600).
The Lexus CT has been in production since 2010 and is based on the Toyota MC platform that also underpinned the previous Toyota Prius XW30.
