Toyota Motor has upgraded the UX300e electric crossover, produced since 2019, with a new battery pack, with which the range on a single charge is increased to 450 km, which is 40% more than before. This was achieved by increasing the battery capacity from 54.4 kWh to 72.8 kWh. At the same time, power consumption was reduced to 166.7 Wh/km.
The UX300e has taken over the improvements that the gasoline and hybrid UX variants received back in May - this is a reinforced body (+20 additional welding points), an upgraded preventive safety complex, improved image quality of the media system display, reconfigured switches around the dashboard and on the center console. In addition, two new USB Type-C connectors have been added to all UX in the cabin.
The electric motor is the same, it produces 150 kW (201 hp), the drive is only front-wheel drive, full is not provided.
In the domestic Japanese market, sales of the updated UX300e will start in early 2023.
