Published a teaser of the updated pickup Isuzu D-Max

Isuzu

Isuzu has been releasing the second generation of the D-Max pickup since 2012, and according to the unwritten rules of the market, it's time for a massive update. The company has published a teaser of the upgraded pickup truck.

Judging by it, radical changes in appearance are not expected: the radiator grille will be enlarged, the head optics will straighten out and acquire LED elements, while on the current sample car it has an inclination to the inside. The rear lights will receive LED elements and will be divided into two sections.

From small excerpts from the teaser, it can be seen that chrome elements will appear there, the automatic transmission selector and the dashboard will be updated, which, apparently, will become electronic. Also in the video you can see leather interior elements.

There is no official information about the power plants, but most likely the D-Max will retain the 1.9-liter RZ4E-TC turbodiesel with 150 hp and 350 Nm of torque. This is a relatively "fresh" unit, which the company developed in 2015. It will work with a 6-speed "automatic" Aisin or branded "mechanics". It is possible that two more turbodiesels will join the 1.9-liter engine: a 2.5-liter one with a return of 116-136 hp, as well as a 3.0-liter 4-cylinder with 177 hp. The pickup truck has a hard-wired all-wheel drive, but it will also get a rear differential lock, thanks to which the D-Max will be very confident on surfaces with little grip.
