To improve its position in the North American market, Isuzu is launching a new pickup called the D-Max. It is based on the same platform as the i-280 and i-350 pickups, as well as the Chevy Colorado and GMC Canyon.
A source inside the company says that the car will receive a new design, as well as a 3-liter turbo diesel. In the near future, Isuzu plans to build 350,000 vehicles at its factories in Thailand.
In addition to the pickup body, the D-Max also has a 7-passenger SUV version called MU 7, which will feature a new design and a new engine.
