Isuzu recalls vehicles due to defective engine

Isuzu

Based on the decision of the Ministry of Land Management, Infrastructure and Transportation of Japan, Isuzu announced on November 4 that it intends to recall some of its vehicles. Isuzu is recalling 23,786 Bighorn, Mu and Wizard models that were produced from February 1998 to March 2002. The reason for such an unpleasant decision is the discovery of a defect in the fuel injection system. This failure results in a significant increase in engine speed, so there is a danger of a sudden, uncontrolled increase in speed.

Isuzu already recalled its vehicles in July 2003. At that time, the defect was also associated with increased engine speeds, but then it manifested itself due to other problems. Since March 2002, 129 accidents have been reported due to this defect. On October 31 this year, another accident occurred precisely because of the malfunctioning of the injection system.
