Infiniti QX60 Monograph showed the design of the future crossover

The Infiniti QX60 (originally the Infiniti JX35) has been in production for eight years, since 2012. In 2021, the Japanese brand intends to introduce a new generation, but for now we are offered to look at the QX60 Monograph concept car – the future crossover will be made in this style.

The prototype looks familiar: some models of the company have already been designed in a similar spirit. At the same time, there were some innovations. One of the signature Infiniti features has disappeared - the famously twisted rear roof pillar. As a result, the overall style of the crossover has become more concise.

“The QX60 Monograph embodies the Japanese concept of ‘Ma’ — a sense of minimalism in which designers strive for harmony, adding just the right amount of elements with a very specific meaning to create something special. This manifests itself in a body that at first glance seems relatively simple, but when you get closer, you notice that there are elements that balance each other in terms of harmony,” said Alfonso Albaisa, senior vice president of global design, Nissan Motor.

While Infiniti says nothing about the cabin and technology. It is possible that the second generation QX60 will receive a 2.0-liter turbo engine fr om the QX50 (wh ere it produces 272 hp and 379 Nm). The car will retain a three-row interior.
