Infiniti QX60 Gets New Look, Q50 Gets 400 HP Turbo Engine

Infiniti has introduced updated versions of two of its models - the QX60 crossover (formerly called the JX) and the Q50 sedan. The world premiere of both cars will take place in January at the Detroit Auto Show.

The QX60 SUV received a redesigned front end with chrome surrounds, new bi-xenon headlights and LED daytime running lights. In the interior of the car, better materials are now used. In addition, the crossover is equipped with an improved automatic transmission selector, three-zone climate control, additional USB ports and improved sound insulation.

You can choose from two power plants: a naturally aspirated 3.5-liter V6 (265 hp and 336 Nm) or a hybrid system with a supercharged 2.5-liter engine and an electric motor (250 hp and 329 Nm). By default, the leading axle on the QX60 is front, but all-wheel drive is available as an option.

The manufacturer equipped the car with retuned springs and shock absorbers, a modified power steering, as well as various electronic assistants, in particular, a preventive brake, which helps to avoid accidents both when moving forward and backward.

The Q50 sedan received a more significant change - the car was equipped with a completely new three-liter V6 engine with two turbochargers, which develops 300 hp. and 400 Nm in the basic version and 400 hp. and 475 Nm - in forced. Since there will be no production version of the Eau Rouge concept with a Nissan GT-R engine, Q50 buyers will have to be content with a 400-horsepower engine.

The Q50 will also be available with a more modest 208bhp 2.0-litre turbo engine. (350 Nm) and a hybrid installation consisting of a 3.5-liter naturally aspirated V6 and an electric motor (360 hp).

All of these motors are paired with a seven-speed "automatic". All-wheel drive is available as an option.

The car also received adaptive power steering and a retuned suspension with new anti-roll bars.
