Nissan Executive Vice President Andy Palmer shared some details about Infiniti's luxury brand's plans for a new flagship sedan.
In particular, Palmer did not deny the rumors about the start of work on a new model, saying that "this project is under discussion." At the same time, he noted that the company expects to create a car that will take a special place in the market and will not just copy current executive models like the Mercedes-Benz S-class and the like.
According to preliminary information, the new Infiniti flagship can be partially or completely built on the Mercedes-Benz rear-wheel drive platform, but it will be created according to the concept of a large four-door coupe, similar to the Porsche Panamera. The premiere of the model is expected no earlier than 2017.
