Infiniti has long been inspiring us with its Inspiration concepts (from the English “inspiration”): in 2014 there was Q80 Inspiration, in 2016 - QX Sport Inspiration, in 2018 - Q Inspiration, and in the current company managed to show the suddenly broken QX Inspiration. What will surprise Infiniti Qs Inspiration against the background of its predecessors?
The novelty is a harbinger of a serial sedan. They may be the next generation Q50 or Q70. Despite the preservation of a number of family traits, fresh motifs are clearly visible in the appearance of the concept. In front, there is no longer a large radiator grille, the former greatness of which is only reminded by a long running light of the same shape.
The plastic of the body has also changed: the ubiquitous roundings have been replaced by more pronounced edges. Apparently, this is the effect of the growing influence of Karim Habib: he became the chief designer of Infiniti in the summer of 2017, and before that he was responsible for the style of BMW for five years.
The "heart" of the Infiniti Qs Inspiration is the e-POWER hybrid powertrain. Details are being kept under wraps for now. It is possible that in this case a hybrid scheme of a sequential type is used, when the gasoline engine does not have a direct connection with the wheels and acts only as a generator, and the machine is driven only by electric motors.
While there is no exact information about when the production model based on the Qs Inspiration concept car will appear. It will most likely not happen before 2021.
