The Chinese concern Great Wall Motor (GWM) is preparing to release a brutal SUV Tank 700 - images of the serial version of the promising model are in the public domain. Chinese media write that they are taken from the user interface of the Tank media system.
The Tank 700 was first shown as a concept car at the 2021 Shanghai Auto Show. The car is made in the same style as the smaller Tank 400 - in the exterior, classic proportions for SUVs are combined with an abundance of broken lines and deliberately rough shapes.
Recall that GWM marketers conditionally divide the Tank line into two families: “Mechanical Beasts” (which includes the Tank 300, Tank 400 and Tank 700) and “Luxury Flagships” (Tank 500 and Tank 800). The first is utility vehicles with enhanced off-road capabilities.
The production Tank 400 will be visually different from the show car shown in 2021. The production version of the car has larger side mirrors, fenders with arches of a different shape, larger air intakes in the front bumper.
The technical part is still unknown, but it is almost certain that the model will receive a 3.0-liter turbocharged V6 with the E30Z index, which is installed on the Tank 500. Its return is 360 hp. and 500 Nm of torque. At the same time, it is possible that this internal combustion engine will be supplemented with an electric motor on the Tank 700. The power plant will be combined with a 9-speed "automatic".
The release date for the Tank 700 has yet to be revealed.
