Great Wall Motor has unveiled its new development - the compact crossover WEY V72, which features an exterior in the style of cars of the 40s.
In terms of bodywork, the car is partially unified with the Ora Punk Cat electric car, GWM showed it in the status of a concept car in 2020, and should present it in a production-ready form on September 27.
The image of the V72 does not interpret the appearance of any particular car of the past, it is a compilation that refers to the era as such - there is a lot of chrome decor, voluminous fenders and oval lighting technology. Journalists from the Chinese resource Autohome believe that the V72 simultaneously resembles the Soviet Pobeda GAZ M-20, the American Buick Roadmaster and Chrysler Airflow of the late 30s, as well as the German Volkswagen Beetle.
The WEY V72 is powered by a hybrid system with a gasoline turbo engine in the composition. In a revised form, the V72 may go into production in 2022-2023.
