The Americans once again confirmed the reliability of Japanese cars

GMC

The well-known American publication Consumer Reports has published an annual rating of car reliability. Once again, Japanese brands were recognized as the best.

There are seven Japanese brands in the top ten. And in the first places are two brands belonging to the same concern: Lexus and Toyota. Another "couple" of brands from the same manufacturer - Acura and Honda - took 3rd and 8th places, respectively. But the Infiniti brand, which got to the sixth position, was left without the “support” of the parent company: Nissan in the current Consumer Reports rating was in an unexpectedly low 22nd place.

But the top ten included such brands as Audi (4th place), Volvo (7th place) and GMC (9th place). Moreover, if GMC moved up three positions, and Audi four, then Volvo improved its reliability rating by 13 points at once, rising from last year's 20th place to seventh.

Top 10 most trusted brands according to Consumer Reports:

1 Lexus
2.Toyota
3. Acura
4 Audi
5 Mazda
6. Infiniti
7 Volvo
8. Honda
9. G.M.C.
10 Subaru

When compiling the rating, Consumer Reports analyzed the statistics of failures and malfunctions of approximately 1.1 million vehicles. At the same time, it is noted that recently the main share of breakdowns and failures falls not on the mechanical part, but on the electronic component of modern cars. In particular, more and more complaints fall on complex multimedia systems, touch screens, navigation, electronic assistants and similar systems.
