General Motors has unveiled an updated line of GMC Sierra HD heavy pickups, which will go on sale in the US market this summer.

The updated pickups received the same exterior and interior design as their lighter Sierra 1500 counterparts. There are also innovations in equipment elements. So, StabiliTrak stabilization systems and trailer swing control are already included in the basic package. Improvements were made to the brakes and the engine cooling system. A lamp appeared in each of the side mirrors, which turns on at night to facilitate reverse maneuvering, including with a trailer. The IntelliLink multimedia system now reads incoming SMS messages through the car's stock speakers, and also offers a more convenient connection mechanism for owners of the latest iPhone models.

The pickup will be offered in two versions - 2500HD and 3500HD. Cabin - only two-row, with a standard (double cab) or increased (crew cab) section for rear passengers. Buyers will be able to choose between two levels of equipment - SLE and SLT, a Denali variant will appear a little later. The choice allows you to diversify 18- or 20-inch chrome-plated aluminum wheels. In addition to the basic equipment, a Z71 off-road package is offered, including Rancho twin-tube shock absorbers, hill-descent assistance and underbody protection. The all-wheel drive system of the pickup, as before the update, includes an electronically controlled transfer case.

The GMC Sierra HD has two engines - a 6.0-liter Vortec V8 petrol (360 hp) and a 6.6-liter Duramax V8 turbodiesel (397 hp).
