The Chinese company GAC Motor held a preliminary presentation of the second-generation GS8 mid-size crossover. Recall that the first photos of this promising model were published in June.
The design of the crossover is based on the GPMA (Global Platform Modular Architecture) modular platform developed by the automaker.
The dimensions of the car are confirmed: length, width, height are 4980, 1950 and 1780 mm, respectively, the wheelbase is 2920 mm.
The design of the new GS8 is inspired by the latest iteration of GAC's signature style, with much more understated lines and shapes than the brand's past models.
The second-generation GAC GS8 will be produced in parallel in two engine versions: 1) with a 2.0-liter petrol turbo and an 8-speed automatic, 2) with a parallel hybrid system purchased from Toyota Motor. The gasoline-electric Toyota Hybrid System of the GAC GS8 is built around a 2.0-liter turbo engine.
Outside, pure petrol and hybrid modifications can be distinguished by the design of the front - the GS8 Hybrid has a disproportionately large grille.
Salon GS8 second generation manufacturer still keeps a secret.
