Ford Motor has unveiled the most expensive version of the latest generation Ranger frame pickup truck - it has the Platinum prefix in the name. The car was shown in the specification for the EU market.
The Ranger Platinum is powered by default with a 3.0-liter Power Stroke V6 turbodiesel that produces 247 hp and 600 Nm of torque. The motor is combined with a 10-speed automatic transmission and permanent all-wheel drive.
Outside, the top performance is distinguished from the standard version of the Ranger by 20-inch alloy wheels of the original design, a more expressive grille with a chrome frame and “dotted” between the cells, as well as especially effective matrix LED headlights. Inside, the seats are upholstered in genuine leather.
Recall that the new generation Ford Ranger was introduced a year ago, it is built on a deeply modernized predecessor frame platform. The full range of engines includes four turbosets - three diesel and one petrol. The first category includes the aforementioned V6, as well as 2.0-liter units in two power options (170 or 200 hp). The gasoline engine is represented by a 2.3-liter engine with a return of 270 hp. The sporty version of the Raptor stands out with a 3.0-liter petrol V6 with a capacity of 392 hp.
