The British have released a crazy off-road supercar

Ford

The British company Prodrive introduced an unusual car - an "all-terrain supercar" called the Hunter. The novelty was created on the basis of the professional rally car BRX Hunter T1 +, which debuted in 2020 - on such a car, the Prodrive team pilot Sebastien Loeb took second place at the Dakar-2022 in the T1 category (sport prototypes).

Adapted for public roads, Hunter outwardly practically does not differ from its “donor”. The car's load-bearing structure is a tubular steel monocoque, all exterior body panels are molded from composites.

The car has a mid-engine layout, that is, the engine is located within the wheelbase. The headlights are modular LED, the rear block lights are also LED, from Jaguar.

The car is powered by a 3.5-liter petrol V6 manufactured by Ford, Prodrive specialists equipped it with a twin turbo. Maximum power reaches 600 hp, torque - 700 Nm. Note that the original rally car has 400 hp. The Hunter engine is aggregated with a 6-speed gearbox and permanent all-wheel drive with three differentials.

Chassis - with suspensions on double wishbones, their travel is 400 mm.

Prodrive Hunter accelerates from zero to 100 km/h in less than 4 seconds, with a top speed of 300 km/h. The volume of the fuel tank is 480 liters.

The salon is designed for two people, access to it is opened by two large doors. The supercar is equipped with wheels with an outer diameter of 35 inches and forged alloy wheels.

The design of the car allows you to fearlessly penetrate at high speed on primers, desert dunes, snowy and muddy roads. All units are protected from below by shields made of thick metal sheets. In general, a hard asphalt surface is not necessary for such a supercar.

Prodrive will produce 25 Hunters, assembled at the company's own facilities in Banbury, England. The first car was bought by Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa of Bahrain.

The cost of one Prodrive Hunter is $1.63 million.
