Ferrari has unveiled a new supercar, the Daytona SP3. Thus, the company revived the legendary historical name, which was originally worn by the front-engine rear-wheel drive model, produced in 1968-1973.
The new Daytona has a fundamentally different layout - it is a mid-engined targa, and in its design there are not even references to the legendary ancestor. The exterior is made in the latest iteration of the brand's corporate style, there are complex plastic transitions of body panels and a carefully designed aerodynamic body kit. The intricate LED block headlights and taillights hidden in the horizontal cuts of the bumper attract attention. All exterior panels of the new Daytona are molded from carbon fiber.
The car is powered by a modified version of the 6.5-liter V12 petrol from the production 812 Competizione. The engine has been improved with titanium connecting rods and an optimized crankshaft. The power of the motor with the F140HC index is 828 hp, the torque is 697 Nm. It is combined with a 7-speed robotic gearbox and rear-wheel drive. Acceleration time from 0 to 100 km / h in Daytona SP3 - 2.86 seconds, 0-200 km / h - 7.4 seconds.
The manufacturer calls Daytona SP3 the most aerodynamically efficient model in its history (and there are no active spoilers in the design, everything is static).
The car will be released in a limited edition.
