Ferrari

Ferrari is preparing a new, more powerful version of the 458 Italia supercar for the September show in Frankfurt.

The coupe, called the 458 Speciale, has a 4.5-liter naturally aspirated V8 engine as standard. However, thanks to improvements, power has increased from the standard 570 hp. up to 605 hp Thus, the modified engine has become the most powerful naturally aspirated V8 in the history of the brand. In addition, factory engineers managed to reduce the weight of the supercar by 90 kg - now it is 1290 kg. Acceleration from standstill to 100 km/h takes just 3 seconds, and to 200 km/h in 9.1 seconds.

To improve the handling of the 458 Speciale, a side slip control system was used, paired with an electronic rear axle differential, as well as Michelin Pilot Sport Cup2 sports tires. Active aerodynamic elements are used in the front and rear parts of the body.

As stated in Ferrari, many of the solutions applied to the 458 Speciale will be used in the future on all models of the brand.

Recall that last week the American tuning studio Hennessey presented its own version of the Ferrari 458 Spider. The power of the 4.5-liter V8 has been increased from 570 to 738 hp. thanks to two turbochargers and a flashing of the engine control unit.
