Ferrari celebrated 50 years of its presence in the Japanese car market with the release of a special model under the designation J50. The novelty will be produced in a circulation of 10 copies, each of which will be built for a specific customer.
The Ferrari J50 is based on the production model 488 Spider, but at the same time, the J50 has all the exterior body panels and lighting equipment completely original. At the same time, the interior of the anniversary model is 100% identical to the interior of the production car.
The exterior of the Ferrari J50 was created at the Ferrari Styling Center located in Maranello. As the press service of the Italian company notes, the designers sought to give the car a light and squat appearance that would be associated with a boat. Therefore, the car received a more elongated and lowered front end compared to the 488 Spider. All J50 lighting equipment is made on the basis of LED elements. Another feature of the novelty is a transparent and also figured cover of the engine compartment, through which the engine can be seen. The J50 is powered by a 3.9-liter V8 standard for the 488 model, but for the anniversary model, engineers increased its power by 20 hp. - up to 690 hp The maximum speed of the supercar is 325 km / h, and acceleration to 100 km / h takes 3 seconds.
