The Chinese began to produce an electric Nissan Navara

Electrification has also reached pickups: the Chinese company Dongfeng Motor, in cooperation with the Renault-Nissan alliance, introduced its next electric car, the Rich 6 EV pickup. This is a completely legal car, and not some kind of fake, and soon it will be sold on the domestic market.

The electric truck was created on the basis of the Rich 6 pickup truck, which, in turn, relies on the Nissan Navara D23 licensed platform, however, instead of a gas tank and an internal combustion engine, batteries are installed under the frame of the Rich 6 EV, and an electric motor with a capacity of 163 hp appeared under the hood, its torque reaches 420 Nm. The battery capacity is 67.9 kWh, and they are enough for 403 kilometers of the NEDC cycle, in real life, the cruising range is unlikely to exceed 300 kilometers.

As for other characteristics, they are quite ordinary by the standards of the class: the curb weight is 1983 kg, the carrying capacity reaches 879 kg (815 kg for the petrol version), the ground clearance does not exceed 180 mm. The maximum speed of the car is 110 km/h. Not much, but does a pickup truck need more?

Most importantly, this car can quite legally drive into the megacities of China, since ordinary pickups with an internal combustion engine under the hood need a special pass for this.

The cost of the car has not yet been reported.
