DongFeng Motor has begun road testing a promising full-size electric SUV with 800 kW (1,070 hp) engines. A photo of a prototype pasted over with a masking film was published by the Chinese website Autohome.
The upcoming novelty will be produced under the Mengshi sub-brand (aka Warrior). Currently, this name is used for a diesel all-terrain vehicle, which is an illegal copy of the famous American Humvee / Hummer H1 of AM General.
Judging by the pictures, the electric Mengshi has an original five-door station wagon body. It is characterized by brutal proportions, in addition, a full-size spare tire is hung on the tailgate in the manner of classic SUVs.
Autohome writes that the promising model was created on a new platform with a flat design, which, in principle, does not involve the use of internal combustion engines.
According to preliminary information, the overall length of the SUV will be 5200 mm, curb weight - 3100 kg.
The premiere of the model is expected in 2023.
