Daihatsu Motor has unveiled the updated Tanto and Tanto Custom kei cars. At the same time, the range of the family has been supplemented with a new version of Fun Cross.
The base car of the line has not changed externally, but the Custom variant, which has its own style, has been refreshed. The front part has been changed, angular headlights and a huge air intake in the bumper have been introduced. Custom began to look much more aggressive than before.
It is reported that a new color combination was proposed for the interior - black + deep blue. The area of artificial leather in the combined seat trim has been increased. A new adjustable shelf has appeared in the luggage compartment, which allows you to divide the compartment into two levels. The media system with a nine-inch display added the ability to control the air conditioner using voice. An HDMI connector has also been introduced to expand the video formats that can be played.
The Daihatsu Tanto palette has been supplemented with new colors - sand beige metallic, Cool Violet Crystal Shine (purple metallic), Chrome Gray Metallic (steel gray metallic).
The Fun Cross version is endowed with off-road styling. It features original bumpers in a "rough" design, headlights (with a "pixel" design of LEDs), moldings made of unpainted embossed plastic, a radiator grille and bumper inserts. In addition, this car has original rims and massive luggage rails on the roof. In the cabin - seat upholstery made of waterproof material and an additional USB connector for rear passengers.
In all cases, Daihatsu Tanto is equipped with the maximum allowable 660 cc gasoline engine for kei cars with 52 or 64 hp. It is combined with a CVT, front or all-wheel drive.
Recall that the current generation Daihatsu Tanto has been produced since 2019.
