Mazda6 and three Chrysler models start production in the US

Chrysler

The US National Highway Safety Administration (NHTSA) has launched an investigation into three Chrysler and Mazda6 models. The first ones stall after refueling, the passenger doors of the Mazda6 do not close well.

192,076 Chrysler 300C, Dodge Charger and Magnum produced in 2006 with 5.7-liter and 6.1-liter HEMI 8-cylinder engines were in the field of view of the service. To date, 54 complaints have been received regarding unreasonable engine failure immediately after refueling at gas stations, in 48 cases this caused additional difficulties for the owners. The service notes that this problem is growing - over the past 8 months, the number of engine failures in these models after refueling has increased by 50%.

Problems with the Mazda6 are directly related to passenger safety. We are talking about 39,000 Japanese sedans in 2009, which do not close well or in some cases have a tendency to spontaneous opening of the passenger compartment doors. As it turned out, on some machines there are simply no fastening bolts in the door locks, they could fall out during operation.

The total number of cars recalled since the beginning of this year in the US market has already approached 10 million. This is an annual rate by the standards of past years.
