Chrysler brought a restyled Pacifica minivan to the Chicago Auto Show. The car received an updated exterior and interior, and there were also changes in the technical part.
From the exterior point of view, the model has got a new front bumper, the upper part of the grille is now made in the style of the Chrysler 300 sedan, but the new Pacifica has lost the lower section of the grille altogether. The head optics of the car has also been updated, and not only its graphics have changed, but also the shape of the headlight housings. In the rear part of the body, the shape of the tailgate has been updated for new LED lights, which are now combined with each other using a thin strip.
From a technical point of view, there are also changes: the minivan received all-wheel drive with the help of a viscous coupling. The motor has no alternative - the same atmospheric unit of the Pentastar V6 series with a volume of 3.6 liters with a return of 291 hp. A plug-in hybrid version is available for a surcharge. Its power is 263 hp, the car can travel 48 kilometers exclusively on electric traction. The transmission is a 9-speed automatic.
There have been changes in the interior. The minivan got a new Uconnect 5 multimedia system with a 10.1-inch screen (the pre-styling car had an 8-inch screen), a FamCAM camera was added to look after children in the back row, the number of USB ports was increased from 8 to 12. In the Pinnacle configuration, the car will delight owners Nappa leather, in the top trim levels the minivan is equipped with a Harman Kardon audio system.
In American showrooms, the updated minivan will appear in the third quarter of this year.
