Chrysler 300 "goodbye" was equipped with a super-powerful motor

Chrysler

Chrysler on the evening of September 13 introduced a super-powerful modification of the 300 sedan - it is equipped with a particularly powerful engine and has the letter C in its name, which is a reference to the famous 300C model of the 50s.

The new modification of the “three hundred” can be described as a farewell, since in 2023 the sedan will, in principle, be discontinued (without a direct replacement).

The 2023 300C is powered by a mammoth 6.4-liter V8 petrol that produces 485 hp. and a torque of 644 Nm. It is combined with an 8-speed hydromechanical transmission and rear-wheel drive (with self-locking differential).

From zero to 60 mph (96 km/h), the 300C accelerates in 4.3 seconds and has a top speed of 278 km/h.

Under the increased return, the chassis has been modified - active suspension shock absorbers, four-piston Brembo brakes and forged 20-inch wheels are installed. A sports exhaust system with two outlets is used.

In the cabin, among other things, there is embroidery in the form of a model logo on the seats, carbon-look decorative inserts, a premium Harman Kardon audio system (19 speakers), heated and ventilated front seats.

Chrysler 300C will be assembled in 2200 units, 2000 will be sold in the US, 200 in Canada. In the States, the novelty will cost from $55,000.

The current generation Chrysler 300 LD has been produced since 2011, but it is widely unified in terms of platform components with the previous 300 LX of the 2005 model. The chassis is the brainchild of the DaimlerChrysler concern, which collapsed back in 2007. The front suspension is a modification of the Mercedes-Benz W220 unit of the 1998 model, the rear “five-link” is the Mercedes-Benz W211 of the 2002 model.

Chrysler is currently part of the Stellantis group.
