In December 2019, a new generation of Chevrolet Tahoe and Suburban SUVs was presented. Now, General Motors has also introduced the GMC Yukon, which is traditionally a more expensive and luxurious version of these SUVs.
Announced two versions: the standard length of 5334 mm and Yukon XL, stretched to 5720 mm. They are similar to the Tahoe and Suburban, respectively (the slight difference of 10-15 mm is due to different bumper designs).
GMC Yukon traditionally differs in style. Here is a different design of the plumage of the front. In addition, the tailgate is now made differently: unlike the Tahoe, the sections of LED lights are also displayed on the trunk lid.
The interior is slightly different. In general, all elements remained in the same places, but in the expensive version of Denali, the central ventilation deflectors are installed above the screen of the multimedia system, and not below it. Additional features include the Power Sliding Center Console system, which allows you to move the center box between the front seats 254 mm back to increase the storage area for various things.
Following the example of Tahoe, the new Yukon moved to a modernized frame. The main novelty was the rear independent multi-link suspension: the continuous axle and the dependent structure have gone down in history.
A novelty in the model range was the off-road version of the Yukon AT4. She has other bumpers with increased angles of entry and exit, and air suspension is already included in the base with the ability to adjust the ride height within 102 mm.
Three engines are offered for the GMC Yukon to choose from: a 3.0 diesel inline six (281 hp and 623 Nm), as well as a 5.3 petrol V8 (360 hp and 519 Nm) and 6.2 liters ( 426 hp and 623 Nm). The latter is offered only for the Denali version. Regardless of the internal combustion engine, a 10-speed "automatic" is installed on the SUV. The base has rear-wheel drive, with all-wheel drive available as an option.
