Chinese Changan Auto has published the first photos of the new crossover Uni-K. From some angles, the novelty unambiguously resembles the Porsche Cayenne Coupe.

With a length of 4865 mm, a width of 1948 mm and a height of 1700 mm, the Changan Uni-K turned out to be a little shorter and narrower than its German prototype, but the difference is very insignificant. In terms of styling, the most similarities to Porsche can be found in the taillights and profile view, although there is no direct borrowing.

At the same time, Chinese designers did not stint on interesting touches. For example, the front grille and the rear center brake light are unusually made. The look is complemented by 21-inch “rollers” and two pairs of large bells of the exhaust system.

Images of the interior have not yet been published. Most likely, the interior will be revealed during the public debut of Changan Uni-K at the Guangzhou Auto Show in late November.

Despite the fact that the front of the crossover is made in the spirit of electric vehicles (there is no pronounced grille), a conventional 2.0-liter gasoline engine is installed under the hood. It is paired with an 8-speed Aisin automatic transmission. Specifications are not disclosed. A similar power unit on the Changan CS85 develops 232 hp. and 360 Nm.

Sales of Changan Uni-K in China will begin in the first quarter of 2021. Prices start at around $27,000.
