The Chinese company Changan Automobile is preparing a new compact crossover under the Shenlan sub-brand - it has been assigned the S7 index. Photos of the promising machine were freely available through the database of the Ministry of Industry of China.
Shenlan S7 will be offered in hybrid and pure electric versions. The overall length, width, height of the car are 4750, 1930 and 1625 mm, respectively, the wheelbase is 2900 mm.
Judging by the pictures, Shanlan S7 will receive a futuristic exterior with aerodynamic shapes, retractable door handles, narrowed LED headlights and lanterns. Shenlan S7 can be equipped with 19-inch or 20-inch wheels.
Pure electric Shenlan S7 will be offered with a 218 hp engine. In the hybrid version, the installation works in a sequential manner - the traction motor produces 258 hp, and the 1.5-liter gasoline engine recharging the battery through the generator - 95 hp.
In both cases, the maximum crossover speed is limited to 180 km / h.
The Shanlen S7 is based on the CHN Modular Platform jointly developed by Changan, Huawei and Ningde Times.
The premiere of the new crossover will take place in 2023.
