Bentley Bentayga - the most powerful SUV in the world: 608 hp in the basic version

Bentley

On September 9, 2015, Bentley finally introduced its first crossover Bentayga, which is currently the fastest and most powerful SUV in the world.

Where is the power from? From the new six-liter 12-cylinder W-engine. Its performance is as follows: 608 hp. at 6000 rpm and 900 Nm in the range of 1250-4500 rpm.

What is the speed? Acceleration to 100 km / h - 4.1 seconds, maximum speed - 301 km / h.

Of the interesting design features of the twin-turbo W12, it is worth noting the possibility of turning off the cylinders (at low loads, the engine runs on six “pots”), as well as the presence of two fuel injection systems simultaneously (direct and distributed). The gearbox is eight-speed automatic, the drive, of course, is full.

Bentley is still silent about fuel consumption and car weight. It is known that due to the widespread use of aluminum, it was possible to reduce the weight by 236 kg (compared to the traditional body structure), and the gluttony of the internal combustion engine was reduced by 11.9%. If you remember that the Continental GT Speed coupe with the W12, according to official specifications, consumes 22 liters of fuel in the city, then you should not expect less from the crossover.

Bentayga is equipped with adjustable air suspension (there are four basic modes), active rollover protection, electronic power steering with variable gear ratio. Cruise control is adaptive, there are traffic sign recognition systems, descent assistance and all-round visibility. Options include automatic valet parking, night vision and a head-up display. In general, almost any "electronics" available on the market today.

Inside - leather, wood, metal (everything is carefully assembled by English craftsmen in the city of Crewe, Cheshire). Front ventilated seats are adjustable in 22 directions, equipped with heating and a massager. If you choose a four-seater version of the crossover, then the rear seats can be configured according to 15 parameters. Buyers will be offered 15 basic shades of leather trim (you can always pay extra for an exclusive), 15 types of rugs, seven wood options.

The head unit, of course, is not like the Tesla Model S, it is only eight inches in diagonal (the screen is touch-sensitive, there is a 60 GB hard drive). Rear passengers were a little more fortunate: 10.2-inch tablets with an Android-based operating system are located on the headrests. When it comes to music, there are three options to choose from, the best of which will offer 18 speakers with a total system power of 1950 watts.
