Audi has expanded its range with a brand new model, the Q6 full-size crossover. The target market for this product is China, so it was there that the premiere of the novelty took place.
Q6 was created on the basis of Volkswagen Teramont / Atlas and unified with it in terms of the supporting body frame, chassis and units. However, all the external body panels of the "Ku-sixth" are original, forming their own exterior in the corporate style of Audi. The design of the machines is based on the MQB modular platform.
Massive sidewalls, two-tiered front lighting technology (low and high beam units are in the corners of the bumper), visually solid horizontal rear lights, as well as such an unexpected touch as the stamping in the form of the Audi emblem on the rear pillars of the body attract attention.
Overall length, width and height of the Audi Q6 are 5099, 2014 and 1784 mm respectively. That is, the model is 47 mm longer than the previous largest SUV in the brand's range - Q7.
Audi Q6 will be offered with petrol turbo engines of 2.0 and 2.5 liters, with a capacity of 231 and 265 hp. respectively. They are aggregated with a 7-speed dual-clutch preselective robot. The drive is complete.
The layout of the cabin in the Audi Q6 is three-row, seven or six seats. In the second case, individual seats of increased comfort are installed on the second row.
The production of new items is being deployed at the SAIC-Audi joint venture plant in China.
