Honda Motor announced the start of serial production of the revived Acura Integra - the first commercial samples were assembled on May 5th. Since the North American market is the target for this model, production was launched at a plant in Marysville, USA.
Recall that the new generation Acura Integra was introduced in March 2022. This is a compact sports five-door hatchback based on the latest generation Honda Civic. According to the supporting frame, the novelty is unified with the Civic, but all its external panels are original, forming its own exterior. Acura also has its own block headlights and taillights.
The machine is equipped with a 1.5-liter petrol turbo engine with 200 hp. and a torque of 260 Nm. At the choice of the customer, it is aggregated with a 6-speed “mechanics” or a stepless variator. Front-wheel drive, but in the configuration there is a limited slip differential.
The new Integra is produced in the same stream as the Acura TLX sports sedan, the press service of the Japanese company notes.
Buyers of the model will be offered a package of A-Spec options, the main thing in which is an adaptive suspension with three presets - Comfort, Normal and Sport, they differ in stiffness. There is also the ability for the driver to individually adjust the responsiveness of the steering, engine response and suspensions.
In the basic configuration, the Integra has a 10.2-inch digital instrument panel and a 7-inch media complex screen (but you can order a larger one - 9 inches). In addition, a head-up display, a 16-speaker premium audio system, power front seats, interior ambient lighting, etc. are available.
The price of the new Acura Integra in the US is from $30,800.
The original Integra model was present in the Acura range from 1986 to 2001 - four generations of compact sports cars with different body types carried this name.
In 2021, Honda showed the revived Honda Integra for China, which is a slightly redesigned version of the new Civic.
