Honda Motor has unveiled a prototype of the revived Acura Integra for North America.

The new model has a body type "five-door hatchback", built on the basis of the latest generation Honda Civic and unified with it on the supporting frame. At the same time, all Acura's external body panels are original, they form their own and very aggressive design.

The bright yellow color of the body with Indy Yellow Pearl Paint enamel and black elements contrasting against this background - rims, mirror housings, bumper covers, a radiator grille, decals on the doors with the Integra inscription work to enhance the sporty style.

The new model will be equipped with a 1.5-liter gasoline turbo engine from the sports Honda Civic Si. In the Civic, this engine develops 200 hp. power and 260 Nm of torque, for Acura, the unit may be pumped up to even more impressive performance, there is no exact information yet. It is assumed that the buyer of the Acura Integra will be able to choose a gearbox - either a six-speed manual, like the Civic Si, or an "automatic". The drive in the basic version is front, for a surcharge, full will be available.

Commercial copies of the model will go to dealers in the United States in mid-2022.

Recall that models under the name Integra were in the ranges of Honda and Acura in 1985-2006. This name branded sports and luxury modifications of the Civic. After a 16-year hiatus, Honda decided to revive the name. Earlier in November, the Honda Integra was introduced for the Chinese market - in the Celestial Empire, this is a slightly turned version of the Civic hatchback.
