Honda introduced Integra for China

Acura

Honda Motor showed the Integra sedan, designed for the Chinese market. The presentation took place on September 28, sales in the PRC market will start in November.

The new Honda Integra is not a completely standalone model, but a variation on the theme of the 11th generation Civic sedan. However, past Integras (then for the American market) were also built on the basis of Civics.

The appearance of the car did not come as a surprise: earlier in September, its pictures were published by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of China. The Integra has narrower headlights and taillights. At the same time, the “restyling” was carried out in such a way as to minimize the impact on stamped steel panels. The cars have the same body parts, with the exception of bumpers and trunk lids.

The length of the Integra is 4689 mm (15 mm more than the eleventh Civic). Width is 1802 mm, height - 1415 mm, wheelbase - 2735 mm. According to these parameters, there are no differences between related models.

A 1.5-liter L15B7 turbo engine is installed under the hood, producing 182 hp. and 240 Nm. It can be combined with a variator and “mechanics” (Civic has only a variator). Front drive.

Integra will be produced by the Guangqi Honda joint venture, prices have not yet been disclosed. The 11th generation Honda Civic is already on sale in China, it is made by another JV - Dongfeng Honda.

By the way, another Integra will appear very soon, but not Honda, but Acura. It will be a five-door liftback for the North American market. It is assumed that he, too, will be a close relative of the Civic.

Recall that the original model Acura Integra was produced in the United States from 1985 to 2006. During this time, she changed four generations, was produced in coupe, three-door hatchback and sedan. Integras were popular due to their low price and powerful, albeit compact, naturally aspirated engines of the B16 (1.6 l), B18 (1.8 l) and K20 (2.0 l) series. The latter in the most forced version developed 220 hp.
