Honda Motor has unveiled the production version of the revived Acura Integra. Here it must be recalled that the demonstration prototype of the novelty was shown back in November 2021, the production version is almost the same.
The new Acura Integra is a compact, sporty five-door hatchback based on the latest generation Honda Civic. According to the supporting frame, the novelty is unified with the Civic, but all its external panels are original, forming its own exterior. Acura also has its own block headlights and taillights.
The novelty is equipped with a 1.5-liter petrol turbo engine with 200 hp. and a torque of 260 Nm. At the choice of the customer, it is aggregated with a 6-speed “mechanics” or a stepless variator. Front-wheel drive, but in the configuration there is a limited slip differential.
Buyers of the model will be offered a package of A-Spec options, the main thing in which is an adaptive suspension with three presets - Comfort, Normal and Sport, they differ in stiffness. It is also possible for the driver to individually adjust the responsiveness of the steering, the response of the engine and suspensions (of course, in a range limited by the manufacturer).
Inside, the Integra is only unified in detail with the Civic, while its architecture is original, with its forms and dense layout of elements gravitating towards sports cars. In the basic configuration, Integra has a 10.2-inch digital instrument panel and a 7-inch media complex. The screen of the media system can also be ordered larger - by 9 inches. In addition, a head-up display, a 16-speaker premium audio system, power front seats, interior ambient lighting, etc. are available.
The production of new items was organized at the Honda plant in Ohio (USA), the target market for it is also North America - the USA and Canada.
Sales of the sport hatchback will start on March 22.
The original Integra model was present in the Acura range from 1986 to 2001 - four generations of compact sports cars with different body types carried this name.
