Acura TLX sedan updated: new grille and sports equipment

Acura

At the New York Auto Show, an updated version of the Acura TLX sedan was shown. Produced since 2014, the model was upgraded for the first time.

The key change in the exterior of the car is the grille. The former “beak” solution has been replaced with a diamond-shaped detail, which should give the car a more aggressive look. Along with the grille, the front bumper, hood, fenders and headlights have changed.

Another innovation is the appearance in the line of sports equipment A-Spec, which can only be ordered with a 290-horsepower naturally aspirated V6 with a volume of 3.5 liters (an alternative for regular versions is a 2.4-liter “four” with a capacity of 204 hp). Both front-wheel drive and the proprietary SH-AWD system are available.

The A-Spec will have its own front end styling, rear diffuser, side skirts, round LED fog lights, a black trunk lid spoiler and muffler tips. This version also has a sports suspension and 19-inch wheels with 245 mm tires.

In addition, the sedan received an improved multimedia system with two screens and improved hardware, which should speed up the operation of the complex by 30%. The manufacturer also claims that the structure of some menus has changed - everything has become more intuitive.

For 2018, the TLX will have new standard equipment: Accident Prevention with Auto Brake, Adaptive Cruise Control and Lane Keeping Assist.
