Acura equips the MDX crossover with a six-speed "automatic"

In the US, sales of an updated version of the Acura MDX crossover began. The car is available starting at $42,865.

The appearance of the crossover remained the same, but the car received a number of technical innovations. The main one was a nine-speed "automatic", which replaced the previous six-speed analogue. Gear shifting is now carried out using a new selector with a button or through the paddles on the steering wheel.

Note that the new transmission was 30 kg lighter than the old one. In addition, the nine-speed "automatic" shifts gears 25% faster.

Another innovation is the improved SH-AWD all-wheel drive system, which more efficiently distributes traction not only between the axles, but also between the left and right wheels. The system uses a new rear differential that is 8.6 kg lighter than before.

The MDX engine remains the same - we are talking about a 290-horsepower 3.5-liter V6.

Among other things, the car received the AcuraWatch active safety system, a frameless rear-view mirror, a driver's seat with a simplified fit (when the door is opened, it moves back 35 mm) and a notification device that the desired tire pressure has been reached when they are pumped.
