Stellantis decided to "squeeze" the Indian Mahindra for plagiarism to the end

Jeep

FIAT-Chrysler (FCA), which is part of Stellantis, has decided to continue its legal battle with India's Mahindra & Mahindra for plagiarizing the design of Jeep cars.

According to Motor1, the Ohio District Court granted the FCA's appeal against the decision in a lawsuit over the use of the image of the Jeep Willys in the Mahindra Roxor SUV. FCA is seeking an injunction against the sale of the Roxor in the US, and Stellantis this time is unhappy with the restyled version of the Indian model, although Mahindra deliberately alienated its image from its American counterpart.

Thus, the case of copyright infringement by the Indian automaker FIAT-Chrysler will be reviewed again.

Litigation between FIAT-Chrysler and Mahindra & Mahindra has been going on since 2019 - it began shortly after the Indian automaker began selling Roxor SUVs, which are certified in the US as all-terrain vehicles without the right to drive on public roads.

The Roxor is an original Mahindra & Mahindra product based on the Mahindra Major (manufactured in India for many years and was a licensed copy of a real American 1949 Jeep CJ-3).

The restyled version of the Roxor was released in 2021 just because of a legal dispute with the FCA, with respect to the original version of the SUV, the plumage was completely replaced.
