Daihatsu is developing a new generation of Daihatsu Copen - a compact two-seater convertible. Such information, citing its own sources in Toyota, was published by the British magazine AutoExpress.
The engine for the novelty will be created by Toyota, and there is information that it will be atmospheric, with a volume of 900 cc. At the same time, it is not planned to create a turbo or diesel version of the power plant.
The new generation of Copen will be longer and wider than its predecessor.
It should be noted that the current and so far the only generation of Daihatsu Copen has been produced practically unchanged since 2002, the car is equipped with a 660 cc turbo engine with a capacity of 70 hp.
