Japanese tuning studio DAMD has opened sales of two extraordinary styling kits for the Daihatsu Taft kei car. One of them gives the car the style of the 80s, with the help of the second crumb, it tries to become like the Land Rover Defender. Two versions offered: Taft 80's and Taft Little D.

Taft 80's is designed for those who are nostalgic for the 80s. Decals designed in the spirit of that era appeared on the sides, and the color is quite consistent with the chosen time (although in addition to the main one, eight more body shades are offered).

The set includes the original front bumper and grille. Also, the owner can optionally change the upholstery of the seats: the checkered print creates an 80s vibe.

The name Little D is short for Little Defender. A strict front grille with right angles and simple slats gives a resemblance to the past generation of the legendary British SUV that has gone down in history. The sides are emblazoned with the UK flag.

To enhance the image, an additional roof rack with wooden elements was installed on the roof, but it is not included in the package.

For any of the upgrade options, you will have to pay 173,800 yen, while forking out separately for painting the bumper in body color. The decal set is 52,800 yen for the Taft 80's and 30,800 yen for the Taft Little D.

Recall that Taft is a hybrid of a key car and a crossover. The dimensions of the car will be 3395 x 1475 x 1630 mm. Body shapes are minimalist. It has been on sale in Japan since April 2020. The Taft is equipped with a 0.66-liter engine that develops 52 or 64 hp. depending on version. Drive forward or full.
