At the Indonesian Motor Show, the premiere of three Daihatsu concept cars - two crossovers and one compact van - took place. This is written by the online edition Indian Autos Blog.

The off-road vehicle prototype, designated as SUV-2, is equipped with swing doors, LED optics and seven seats. The manufacturer has not yet said anything about the technical parameters of the concept. With the SUV-2, Daihatsu is expected to demonstrate a model under development that will compete with crossovers such as the Mitsubishi Outlander.

The second off-road vehicle shown by the Japanese company is more compact than the SUV-2, in size and with smooth body lines. According to preliminary information, the serial version of the novelty will compete for buyers with Nissan Juke and Ford EcoSport.

Another promising model presented by Daihatsu was the UFC-3 compact van. This is the third version of the prototype - the first two were shown by the company in 2013 and 2012, respectively. It is expected that after the launch of the series, the car will be offered to customers as a more compact alternative to the Daihatsu Xenia (turned Toyota Avanza).
