A number of interesting concept cars will be shown at the tuning exhibition in Tokyo (will be held from January 15 to 17) by Daihatsu and Suzuki.
In particular, here you can see three variations on the Daihatsu Copen theme at once: a coupe, a three-door hatchback station wagon and a “raised” convertible that clearly wants to look like a crossover. And if the last option so far really looks like a concept (besides, it is only shown on the sketch), then the first two may well go into series. And the manufacturer will not have to rebuild the plant to assemble new versions - it’s enough just to launch the production of several new and easily installed parts in a car service (a hard fixed roof, a third hatchback door, a rear window). This is due to the fact that the new Daihatsu Copen comes with removable body panels.
With three other concepts, Daihatsu is promoting its recent innovation, the Cast model. Two sports prototypes based on the Cast Sport version and one off-road recreational variant based on the Cast Activa model will be brought to the exhibition.
Suzuki has three show cars at the show. The exterior of one of them - Alto Works GP - is made in the colors of sports bikes of the Suzuki Ecstar team participating in the MotoGP championship.
The concept based on the Suzuki Ignis of the new generation, with a matte body, is not without attractiveness. The car is designed to attract the attention of fans of water sports - for example, canoeing.
Finally, one of the brand's bestsellers, the Suzuki Hustler kei car, will appear as a light off-road conqueror. The creators of the concept believe that the car will appeal to those who love outdoor recreation, rock climbing and other similar leisure activities.
